The mission of Kupol Gallery is to promote Russian artists in the international arena and to introduce domestic collectors to the iconic figures of the Western art market.

Kupol Gallery presents a new exhibition project "Fortune-telling. The Major Arcana" by Sergey Kondrashkin. In graphic works, the artist explores the phenomenon of Tarot cards, the mysterious history of their appearance, the mysterious rite of divination.
The main themes in the works of Sergey Kondrashkin are mythology, religion and legends of the peoples of the world. Sergey Kondrashkin's works form their own system of plots, including Eastern esotericism, Sumerian epic and Christian mysticism.
This exhibition covers not a system of views, but a whole cultural phenomenon of Tarot cards. Like all the works of Sergey Kondrashkin, the works presented at the exhibition combine iconography of various religions: from Christian icons to images of Buddhist bodhisattvas.
The exhibition presents a version of the Major Arcana of Tarot cards, made by Sergey Kondrashkin. In Tarot, the Major Arcana consists of 22 cards, each of which has a unique image and name. Etchings and works in the author's technique represent mystical and mysterious images, offering a new look at the familiar images of the Major Arcana.
Tarot cards are also interesting for the ambiguity of their interpretation, they will open for everyone in their own way. Magic, religious images and mysticism — all this is woven together in Sergeу Kondrashkin's "deck".

As part of Vadim Tishin's solo exhibition "The End of Apartment No. 50", a series titled "Master and Margarita" is presented, consisting of textile art objects, carpets, and graphic works. Vadim Tishin reinterprets and interprets the creative legacy of Mikhail Bulgakov in his own artistic style, turning to the writer's most famous novel in his artworks. The artist synthesizes the mysterious and mystical atmosphere of the work from diverse shimmering fabrics and velvet, as well as the monochromatic nature of the graphic pieces.

Vadim Tishin does not aim to literally illustrate the literary work or recreate its reality, but rather assembles his art objects "piece by piece" and fragments like collages from scraps of materials and impressions that remain with the artist from Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov's legacy. The artist's graphic works are also devoid of detail; they are concise but meaningful and visually akin to the language of abstract collage. From this elusive abstraction, the viewer captures recognizable images and silhouettes of familiar characters from the novel.

Keeping in mind the numerous existing adaptations, productions, and illustrations of Mikhail Bulgakov's novel, Vadim Tishin avoids excessive concreteness. By leaving room for imagination, the artist thus brings to life the world of the writer and allows for a fresh perception and understanding of a long-familiar work.

The Kupol Gallery presents a new ambitious exhibition project within the space of Cube.Moscow. "We Need Diaghilev" is not just the title of the exhibition, but also a manifesto by contemporary artists who seek their own master.

In this vast synthetic space, woven together from various forms of art such as painting, graphics, costume, and video art, visitors will encounter works by Alexander Benois, Leon Bakst, Erté, and Konstantin Korovin. Curated by Polina Lobachevskaya, the exhibition reveals an enduring connection between the Diaghilev masters and contemporary Russian artists like Yuri Kuper, Rustam Khamdamov, Ekaterina Filipova, Igor Chapurin, Platon Infante, and Vadim Tishin. These artists inherit the great achievements of the belle époque and create vibrant, relevant works for modern audiences. The project's creators, including Victoria Mihopulu, Olga Shepelskaya, and Elizaveta Plavinskaya, invite viewers to perceive and experience the remarkable intergenerational connection, to enjoy the masterpieces of both the past century and the present.

The Bolshoi Theatre and the Andrei Chelgakov Foundation have contributed their exhibits to the project. The exhibition features costumes from the private collections of I.V. Chapurin and N.M. Tsiskaridze, as well as artworks from the collections of Olga Shepelskaya and Pavel Kardashidi.

"We Need Diaghilev" is a large-scale exhibition project at the Kupol Gallery in the main hall of Cube.Moscow. The title encodes the manifesto of contemporary artists who need their own maestro. The exhibition is based on the synthesis of different forms of art: painting, graphics, costume, and video art.

The continuation of the tour will be the screening of the film "The Bottomless Bag" by Rustam Khamdamov, based on the story "In the Thicket" by Ryunosuke Akutagawa. The film director, screenwriter, artist, and creator of the original metaphorical visual language were drawn to the combination of simplicity and mystique, but most of all, to the multiplicity of perspectives on what is happening. The samurai has transformed into a Russian prince, whom a bandit, along with a princess, lures into the thicket.

Kupol Gallery and the artist Katerina Lime Blossom present the exhibition project "FOREST" in the Cube.Moscow art space. Katerina Lime Blossom works with the thread as the main and leitmotif, passing and intertwining through all the works of the artist. This time, unraveling the tangle, the artist turns to the theme of the metaphorical forest of the soul, inviting visitors to take courage and dive into what is behind the fuss, desires and fears that fill our lives.

As part of the exhibition, you can visit excursions, during which Katerina will talk about her work, the concept of the new exhibition, sources of inspiration and answer your questions.

Tomorrow, August 25th, at 7:00 PM, Victoria Mikhopulu will give a lecture titled "Russian Costume in Contemporary Art and Design." We will discuss the Russian costume collector Natalia Shabelskaya, the development of the interpretation of Russian costume in the Silver Age, Russian motifs in avant-garde fashion and design, and, of course, contemporary global fashion.

After the lecture, there will be a guided tour of two exhibitions at the gallery.

 This month we are preparing two exhibition projects at once. The first one, titled "We Need Diaghilev," is dedicated to the outstanding figure of the early 20th century and the artists inspired by his work. It will take place in the large hall of Cube.Moscow. Simultaneously, the main gallery space will host the "FOREST" exhibition by Ekaterina Lime Blossom.

Both exhibition projects will be open for visitors starting from August 19th!

"Embracing the Sky," a solo exhibition by Olga Soldatova at the Kupol Gallery, has been extended until August 12th!

For the artist, the image of a person in the sky represents a path towards the ideal state of humanity, achieving a breakthrough in development and learning to fly not only with the help of airplanes but also through their imagination.

"I want art to coexist with design, sports, dance, architecture, and music. To be something universal. But the individual must correspond to everything: thoughts, actions, their entire life. Such a person is truly the ideal Renaissance human - the ideal human for me."

As part of the "Age of Love" lecture series, focused on rethinking the Silver Age, when Russia's cultural influence reached its historical peak, a lecture entitled "The Heart's Logos" will be held.  This lecture will be the first in a cycle that aims at rethinking the Russian and world cultural heritage and formulating the desired harmonious image of the future.

The venue for the first lecture will be the Dome Gallery and its exhibition project "Unexpected Joys" by the artist Rustam Khamdamov, and the lecturers will be Pavel Zarifullin and Roman Bagdasarov.
